Policies

Attendance Policy

After 9 cumulative absences for illness for which a parent writes an excuse note the 10th absence for illness must be accompanied by a physician’s note.

If a student arrives after 10 AM or leaves before 1 PM without a valid excuse note from a doctor, the student will be marked as half-day unexcused. Two half-days will add up to one full day.

Lateness

School starts at 8:30 AM. Any student arriving to school after 8:30 AM will be issued a late card by the late desk designee.

Early Dismissals

Students will be granted an early dismissal only for urgent matters that must be taken care of during school hours. To protect student safety, each child must be picked up by a parent or guardian who is listed as a parent or guardian. No student will be dismissed without adult supervision.

 

Early dismissals will not be permitted between 2:30 and 3:09.

Uniform Policy

The School District of Philadelphia has mandated a uniform policy for all students in grades K-12. All students are required to adhere to the policy established by the School District of Philadelphia consistent with the School Board’s Resolution.

Robert Morris School Uniforms are:

GRADES K-5
Boys Girls
Black pants worn to the waist (with belts) Black pants or black knee length jumpers/dresses, skirts, or black short pants
Black school logo shirt Black school logo shirt
NOTE:  STUDENTS IN GRADES 6 THROUGH 8TH WILL WEAR LIGHT BLUE LOGO SHIRT AND BLACK PANTS.

 

Footwear – Black Shoes or Sneakers Preferred (All Students).  All shoes must be worn with socks.  No open-toed shoes or sneakers.  No sandals, flipflops

 

ABSOLUTELY NO BLUE JEANS AT ANYTIME.  STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED JEANS OR PANTS UNDER SKIRTS FOR ANY REASON.

Students who do not wear the uniform and the school colors will be exempt from school trips and school activities.
